2022 Aston Martin DBX Specs, Price, 0-60 & Features
The 2022 Aston Martin DBX is different from its sports car siblings because it looks like an SUV and can tow things. However, the high-riding Aston’s pretty face and fun driving make it a real member of the legendary British brand. The DBX’s interior is both beautiful and useful, with a back seat big enough for adults and space for cargo. You can choose from a variety of cool colours and rich materials. The engine is a twin-turbo V-8 from Mercedes-AMG that makes 542 horsepower and sounds hot. All-wheel drive is a standard feature. The Aston isn’t as fast as some other $100,000 cars, which is a shame. It also has a soft brake pedal and doesn’t have a lot of helpful driver aids. Still, the 2022 DBX is a real Aston Martin, just from a higher point of view.

Engine and Performance
Mercedes-AMG gives the DBX a 4.0-liter V-8 engine with two turbochargers. The engine has 542 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. It works with a Mercedes-made eight-speed automatic transmission. The DBX is mostly rear-wheel drive, but when the rear wheels start to slip, a centre transfer case sends torque to the front axle. It also has a rear differential that can’t slip and can pull up to 5940 pounds. The Aston comes with adaptive dampers and height-adjustable air springs, which are great for going off-road. The DBX went from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, which is good for a fast SUV, but the Lamborghini Urus and other competitors are much faster.
Interior & Comfort
The DBX has a lot of the same switches as the other Aston Martins. The inside of the car has leather with nice stitching, soft-touch surfaces, and a microsuede roof. The ute comes with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, ambient lighting that can be changed, three-zone climate control, and front and back seats that are heated. Some desirable options include front seats with air vents, a heated steering wheel, and even fancier materials inside the car. There is a lot of space in the back seat, and adults have plenty of room to kneel and stand up. There is also a good amount of space for cargo: 22 cubic feet behind the back seat and 54 cubic feet with the back seats folded down.
Infotainment and Connectivity
The large 10.2-inch infotainment screen is based on an old Mercedes interface and doesn’t respond to touch. Instead, you can control the unit with buttons on the steering wheel and a rotary knob on the centre console. If you want, you can also add an integrated touchpad. The system has popular features like Apple CarPlay integration, built-in navigation, a 14-speaker stereo, and several USB and 12-volt charging outlets.
