First-generation Subaru BRZs was a joy to drive. They were a step below the new Nissan Z and two steps below our beloved V8 American pony cars, at least in power, with their four-cylinder engines. But in terms of entertainment, they were practically unbeatable. Back-wheel-drive sports cars like the original Datsun Z and the vintage MGB were revived with this model and the Scion FRS, rebadged as the Toyota 86. The 2022 BRZ is a new car, but it is also the model’s second generation. It’s based on a highly reworked version of Toyota’s previous platform. A six-speed gearbox and a Boxer engine in the front, with only power for the rear wheels, are the same as the previous vehicle.

Subaru’s lightweight sports cars are getting a new generation with the 2022 BRZ. Subaru BRZ Exterior Design for 2022

We’re not persuaded that the new Subaru BRZ sports vehicle is significantly improved than the previous one. A few design features that could only have come from the land of the rising sun were included in this product, which was proudly made in Japan. The new model is a fusion of many different designs.
